How it works

  1. Export your clients

    Make an export of your clients in your current system, or put them in an Excel or CSV file.

  2. Upload and map

    Upload the file in Salonpiloot. Salonpiloot guesses which column is which; you check the mapping.

  3. Review and import

    You see duplicate clients, empty fields and errors before anything is saved. Then the import keeps running, even if you close the window.

If a client is already in Salonpiloot, you choose for the whole import: skip, or only fill in empty fields. Nothing is ever overwritten.

Questions about switching

Which files can I import?
CSV and Excel files (.csv or .xlsx), up to 10 MB and 20,000 rows: for example an export from Salonized, Treatwell, or Fresha, or your own Excel list. In Salonpiloot you map the columns and review everything before anything is saved.
Will my clients notice anything?
Salonpiloot sends no confirmation at import. Imported upcoming appointments do get the normal reminder, through the channels your client consented to.
Can I use my old system alongside Salonpiloot for a while?
Yes. Exporting changes nothing in your old system. Do put new appointments in one system, so no double bookings happen. Clients who joined in the meantime you import again later; clients already in Salonpiloot you then skip.
What if my file is messy?
When reviewing, Salonpiloot shows duplicate clients, empty fields and unreadable numbers before anything is saved. Salonpiloot skips rows with errors; you add those separately later. Stuck? Email us and we'll help you through it.
Does switching cost anything?
No. Client import is free in every Salonpiloot plan.
